I have had the pleasure of teaching at HNPS since 2001. On the first day of the school year as children first enter my class I welcome them as "my babies." Their usual response is "we're not babies!" I then explain that this is my first time with them, and that makes them my babies - now and for the rest of our lives - no matter how old they are.
