Principal’s Welcome
The HNPS program simultaneously develops academic skills while intentionally encouraging social-emotional development. We have a rigorous curriculum and utilize sound teaching practices to ensure students master academic standards, but we also create an environment that emphasizes growth, not only academically, but also personally. We want students to realize their academic potential, but we also want them to realize their uniqueness and have the confidence and courage to be who they are. In our Early Childhood Center, our nursery (3-year-old) and pre-kindergarten (4-year-old) students experience learning activities that establish the critical foundations of literacy and numeracy. Each day students enter a nurturing environment that helps them develop the habits necessary to be successful students. Students also learn to interact in a classroom, collaborate, share perspectives, and respond to setbacks. In elementary school, HNPS students develop into critical readers, creative writers, and confident, articulate public speakers. Through rich learning experiences in the classroom, students build knowledge in literature, social studies, science, and math. They experience a true liberal arts education with enriching specialist classes that include music, art, technology, Spanish, and physical education.
Our faculty is comprised of dedicated, caring teachers who model life-learning. They take the time to establish strong relationships with their students and use this rapport to unlock their potential.
HNPS opens doors to future learning. Students graduate from Holy Name and move on to Boston Latin School, Boston College High School, Ursuline Academy, Montrose School, Roxbury Latin, Boston Latin Academy, Catholic Memorial, and many more. Getting in is only the start. HNPS students are poised for success and do succeed on these campuses as scholars and leaders.
We encourage you to schedule a visit to discover more about HNPS.
